Final Part 1 of 2 

Class/ Self Evaluation 

The thing that i didn't like about this class is that its pretty boring mostly the whole time. The thing that i liked bout this class was that we got to make a blog i think that is pretty cool. I think some suggestions for improving the class is to try and make it less boring, and more free time. Another thing that i liked was that we were able to research new things about people in the medical field i liked it because i want a my career to be in the medical field and so that gave me a lot of options on what i can be and i found that really interesting. I think that i did my best in this class but i do think that i can talk a lot at times. I think that i am committed to being a CTR student because i always try to do whats right. 

IDP Showcase 

For my IDP Showcase i was super nervous because one of our group member didn't show up and we didn't have his information that he was supposed to say for his part, but luckily he put some information on the power point so all we had to do was just say it. So when they called us that it was our turn to present i didn't feel nervous at all because i knew what i had to say and we knew what we had to say on  my the persons side that didn't show up. My part was Community effects on Ebola it was a little hard to find out the information but i eventually found it. I think that we did okay in our presentation just that some of us stuttered because we didn't really have our flashcards memorized but i think that we did a good job just next we do not have to look at the screen too much. I learned that Ebola can be transmitted through body fluids so if you come in contact with someones body fluids and you think/know that they have Ebola you most likely will get it also.

Can people trust me top do whats right? Yes people can trust me to do whats right because i think that i am a very trust worthy person. Am i committed to doing my very best? I believe that i am very committed to doing my absolute best because if i want to be someone in life i have to be committed to doing my absolute best all the time ,even though sometimes i get pretty lazy but i still try to do my very best. Do i treat people the way i want to be treated? Yes, i think i do treat people the way that i want to be treated. I feel like i 2 personality's, one when i am with my cousin and friends and the second one when i am new somewhere and people do not know me i would just be very very quiet but when i am with my cousin we laugh so much but we laugh about dumb things but still i really like my first personality because that means that i am very comfortable with them.

  New York 

New York has always been the place that i have wanted to visit ever since i was a little girl. New York is a place where so many things happened good and bad. i always wanted to go during the winter because i can actually wear a lot of swears and gloves and scarfs and beanies without having take them off right away because it starts to get hot. But also when its cold here i feel like i am going to freeze to death so i don't think ill survive in New York. I want to go Also on new years eve so i can go to times square because that has always been my dream. New York is beautiful but the weather is just crazy the weather people tell you something and then mother nature decides to say something way different. Living in the Big Apple has always been my dream home. 

Thanksgiving Week 

 My thanksgiving week was so boring i did nothing but clean , do homework and sleep , well the sleeping part was the only good thing ooh and i went to sky zone which was so cool but the next day it wasn't as cool because my back and my neck were killing me, and then having to sit on a chair at the movie theaters was awful, but it was so worth it because the movie was great. Okay so maybe my wee wasn't that boring but it only started getting good thanksgiving day.The day of thanksgiving my family and i had a gathering, and so each person takes something. This year we went to my cousins house and we didn't have as much food as the past years but it was an okay amount. We had Ham, mash potato, pozole, and instead of turkey we had salmon. I kinda thought it was odd because i don't know who celebrates thanksgiving with no turkey i mean isn't  that the whole point of thanksgiving the turkey and ham and stuffing, we didn't even have stuffing so for me thanksgiving was kind of  disappointment. I do not think that i did any CTR things for thanksgiving break. I did my math homework with was like 5 pages but it was pretty easy i finished it yesterday (Sunday) i think that the only homework i didn't do was AP Spanish.

I think that this quote is true because why do/say something that is not right/true just so you can get in to problems later. An example can be that if your friends invite you to go somewhere and you know that they are going to be doing drugs and drinking, and you know that every time that they go to a party and they tell you about they always say that the cops end up going to the house and they have to end up running aways so that they don't get caught . So you know that something bad might happen so you rather just say no thanks maybe next time. Also if you say something that isn't true and you tell someone and then they tell someone and it goes on and on and it just becomes a huge problem.

Thanksgiving 

Thanksgiving is an annual national holiday marked by religious observances and a traditional meal including turkey. The holiday commemorates a harvest festival celebrated by the Pilgrims in 1621, and is held in the United States on the forth Thursday in November. A holiday similar to thanksgiving is held in Canada, but usually on the second Monday in October. George Washington declare the first Thanksgiving as a national holiday.

I think that this is an amazing quote by Chick Moorman because it is so true, because being fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing and its also the right thing to do. People always say be competitive but by being competitive does not mean that you have to cheat or try to distract the other person just so they wont get it right. You always have to be fair and honorable.

I think that this quote is true because if you want to live your life with integrity because if you never learn how to stand up for yourself and say no then your not gong to be able to live your life with integrity. Here is an example when i was in middle school i had friends that would just use me to copy my homework and always like to push me around, but i thought that they were like that that they weren't just using me they were actually my friends. Then people in class started asking me, why are you friends with them if all they do is use me and i would always denied it because i was afraid that it would be true, and it was so i had to learn the hard way to say no and now i finally i know how to stand up for myself and say no when i know that its not the right thing to do . 

Veterinarian 

Duties and responsibilities: Just like human patients, animals need regular checkups to monitor their health status. Veterinarians examine animals in clinics and on farms to check for signs of illness or disease and they establish the overall health of the animals. However, many appointments made with veterinarians are also for sick animals. They examine, diagnose and create treatment plans for a wide range of problems, from skin diseases and feline leukemia to communicable diseases in livestock.

Education: A bachelors degree in animal science can usually be completed in four years . Courses that prepare students for veterinary school tend to include:

Reflection: i would like to be a veterinarian because taking care of animals is what i love to do ever since i was a little girl.

I think that what this quote means is that is you hang out with smart people then you will be successful, but if you hang out with people that all they like to do is party then you are not going to be successful you will be destroyed. For me i don't think that its all that true because i have friends that are super smart and all they do is get good grades and they like to go to partys and i do not see how the kind of friends they hang out with has to effects them, Okay maybe it might effect the a little bit but that doesn't meant that that person wont be successful in life. For example me, my freshmen year i was not doing so good and i would talk to people that are so smart and that would have a 3.0 GPA and i was still the one that wouldn't do so good and now my sophomore year i am the one with a 3.0 GPA. I think that everyone has a choice and that is either they want to be successful or not i don't really think that the friends that you have should get in your way because real fiends are always going to be there to push you and do good and you should do that same thing. So if you follow this quote that's great and if you choose not to follow it well just remember that not everything you read is true.

I think that this quote means that if you do an activity for enjoyment no matter what it does not matter if you are working or not you are always doing good. Lets say for example if i were to play soccer and i like to kick the ball to the wall but i know that someone lives behind that wall i know that i am not supposed to do that so i just go somewhere else to play. 

Health Educator 

Duties and responsibilities: 

1. Collaborate with health specialists and civic groups to determine community health needs and the availability of services, and to develop goals for meeting needs. 
2. Design and conduct evaluations and diagnostic studies to assess the quality and performance of health education programs.
3. Develop and present health education and programs such as training workshops, conferences, and school or community presentations.
4. Develop  operational plans and policies necessary to achieve health education objectives and services.

Salary:$30,00 - $60,00

Education: You need a bachelors degree or higher in education.

For me this quote motivates me because know i know that i dont have to sacrifice what i really want most for what i want now , like Peter said write down what you want most and see it often. So that what i am going to do now.

Healthcare Administrator

They create goals and the strategies for achieving them, and communicate this information to all employees. Because administrators tend to such business concerns as budgeting, scheduling, information management,marketing and internal communication, the medical staff can concentrate on health care.

Education: Many higher-level health care administration executives have a master's degree in a field such as public health or business, hospital or nursing administration. A bachelor's degree is often sufficient for entry-level positions, or for employment with smaller facilities when coupled with relevant health care experience.

Reflection: I wouldn't really want to be a healthcare administrator because its not what i want to be in the future.

I think that this quote is trying to say that its better to have a good name for your self rather than to be rich. In my opinion i would like to have both because it is possible to have both you just need to make sure that your are getting the money from and actual job. But then again i think to myself i would rather have a good name than to be rich because lets face it when we die all that money isn't going to be buried with you and if you have a good name for yourself you know that you had to leave but you were okay with that because you know and other people know you has a good person not just some rich stubborn person. Even though everyone would love to have a lot of money so they can have what ever they want but having all that money can also change you either for the better or for the worst, but it all depends on how and what you do with the money because who knows maybe some day you can have both a good name and all the great riches you want.

I honestly think that this quote is true because a good name is always going to be part of your life if you like it or not. Lets say that you had a bad name that when people would hear your name they'll say oh that guy that always likes to play with girls and is very disrespectful. But if you had a good name people would be like oh his the guy that always has good grades and that is very respectful yea i know him. My teacher says that everyone in school has a name but not all of them are good names, so he said always choose the right because if you choose the right you will always have a good name unless you choose the wrong. So choose the right!!

I think that this quote says a lot because, if your friends pressure you to do something that you know is wrong, you should be the bigger person and not do it. I actually had a so-called best friend that one day she just felt like not going to school and sop she said lets not go to school today and well just go to my house and watch movies. I said no because i have never ditched school before and that i wasn't going to start that day. She got mad and said that " i thought you were my best friend." i told her that if she was a true friend she wouldn't want me skipping school, so i just left her and she just left home. I felt bad because of what i told her but how can your best friend tell you to skip school just because she doesn't want to go to school, i had to be the bigger person and i was also the only one standing.

I think that this quote is a good quote because its true. If you put your mind to something and you wont give up until you have made it that makes you a CTR champion.

Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist 

Duties and responsibilities: An Ear,Nose and Throat Specialist is a prestigious job in the medical field. These dedicated professionals are hardworking individuals who have gone through many years of school and specialized training in order to become the high paid, highly skilled individuals they are today. Ear,nose and throat specialists are highly respected professionals who work to help people with a wide variety of illnesses,many of which can be life threatening. They must undergo years of training before competing to be chosen for a residency and internship. This field is highly competitive and the training is intense and expensive, but the rewards are great.

Salary:  $194,000 - $516,00 

Education: To become an ENT doctor, you will begin by pursuing the traditional route to and through medical school. Score well on the MCAT and earn a high undergraduate GPA, especially in the core science course of biology,general chemistry, and physics. You need to complete 4 years of medical school. Also a 3-5 years in an ENT residency program.

I think that this quote is true because how can success just hit you out of nowhere. If you choose to be successful in life the you know that to be it you have to do whatever you can to make it to where you want to be in life. The habits that i have today don't really par with the dreams that i have for tomorrow. I also know that if i make a mistake that can effect me in life i know that i have to do something to try and fix it because if i want to be successful i have to be a good student and also a good person because if your a good student but you have a nasty attitude people aren't going to want you to work for them because if they need you to talk to a client and all you are going to do is be rude or have an attitude you can people to leave and you can just get fired. Not only can this quote help you in looking for a job but also if you have a goal that you want to reach in your personal life like sport wise. If you want to be the best at lets say wrestling you know that you have to train and practice a lot and you can also set a goal and if you do you need to make sure that you can reach it no matter what people say if you want it you need to fight for it. 

Obedience

I think that this quote is correct because if you obey and you just continue to do it it will stop becoming something that might always irritate you and it will just become easier.When your parents tell you to do something and you would just start to complain, they are still going to make you do it anyways so why complain. Then so after awhile you just start to get used to it and you eventually stop complaining. So like what the quote says " When obedience becomes our goal, it is no longer an irritation; instead of a stumbling block, it becomes a building block." so just be obedient and everything will just become easier. Choose the right!!

I think that this quote is good because choosing the right is the right thing to do. An example can be if your friends want to go to a party where you know that there are going to be drugs and everything if you choose to go you know that you have to do the right thing and know that your not suppose to be doing that so you don't. 

Dermatologist 

Duties and Responsibilities: Dermatologist are physicians who treat conditions related o the skin, though they may also treat disorders related to the hair and nails. Dermatologists undergo additional specialized training beyond receiving a medical degree to become experts in skincare, and they must also obtain a license to practice.

Salary: $87,010 - $307,634

Education: To become a dermatologist is pretty hard because dermatology is one of the most highly competitive medical fields, it requires several years of education and training. you to an undergraduate degree from a four year collage, including a pre-medical courses in biology, organic chemistry, physics,and chemistry.

Reflection: I would like to be a dermatologist because they win good money and because i lobe to work with people.

Obedience

I like this quote because its true if you obey you can be happy. If you listen to the good things that people say that can help you in the future then you will start to become happy and one day youll notice that since that day that you started being obedient you started to become happy and since that day you have lived happy all your life. I think that this quote can really be useful in life, i would definitely start to use it.

I think that this quote is good because even if your a great basketball player but not a good person then its not really going to matter because the way you are as a person is way more important then being good at a sport.You have to be a CTR person. 

 

Dental Assistant 

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Seating patients in the treatment area.
• passing requested instruments to the dentist during dental  procedures. 
• sterilization and preparation of instruments.
• taking impressions of teeth for study models. 
• polishing clinical crowns.
• exposing and developing X-rays.

Salary: $20,084 - $44,499

Education: To become a dental assistant you need to have a high school diploma and you need to graduate from a dental degree program.

This quote to me is true because when i do or say something wrong i feel really guilty right after i do it.One example can be that if you know someone that does something bad and you say to yourself that is not the right thing to do. If that person feels good after they do something horrible then that person honestly is weird because i have never heard someone say that they feel good with what they did. They might feel good at first for like 5 minutes but then they are going to wish they didn't do or say  what they did.

I like this quote because this quote does kind of motivate you to do good things so you can feel good about yourself. For example if i were to go and help at a hospital, i would feel good about myself because your doing something good. Another example if i were to go to a party and do drugs or get drunk i would feel bad about myself because well drugs and alcohol is really bad for you and if you do something bad before/after using drugs or drinking alcohol it'll make you feel either embarrassed or just terrible. if the police were to come to that party and find me and my friends using drugs we can all go to jail for possession of drugs. 

Freedom

When you obey your parents or your teachers they can start giving you more freedom because they know that if the put you to do your work or do some cleaning around your house they now that you will do it. Obedience can led you to having less problems because if your parents let you go out and you do something bad i'm pretty sure that they won't let you go out again well at least not for a while. If you know that you want to do something or go somewhere you know that you have to be obedient. But also obedience isn't always the key to freedom in my opinion.
